At the same place we reported on the competition “Maklertraum” of the specialist insurer Markel, in which our product idea “Pro Education”, an innovative insurance concept for private schools, emerged victorious. Last Friday, the presentation of the product at the European Headquarters of the insurer in London was on the program.
In the famous “Walkie Talkie” high-rise, just a stone’s throw away from the venerable Lloyd’s of London insurance exchange, top executives from Markel International were eager to attend a one-hour presentation on Pro Education. Supported by Manuel Häusler, Head of Sales and Marketing at Markel Germany, Björn Olbrich explained to an international team consisting of Nicholas Line (Chief Actuary and Director of Underwriting), Gary Milton-White (Underwriting Manager), Esther Reynolds (Head of Underwriting Oversight) and Filip Wuebbeler (Head of Business Information) the main features of the planned insurance for private schools. It quickly became apparent that the experienced underwriters are interested in Pro Education and were able to stimulate the product design with helpful ideas.
We are grateful that our insurance concept receives the attention and support of such high-level managers from Markel. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue to develop Pro Education and bring it to market.
