Sustainability @TBO

Climate change, conflicts, Corona and attacks on democracy – our world seems to be falling apart more and more. We believe that acting more sustainably can help everyone to keep our world livable in the future.

We at TBO would also like to contribute to this and have initiated a few steps that we would like to describe in more detail below.

Switch to GLS Bank

Banks play a very important role when it comes to sustainability. Through their investments and projects, they can affect the world both positively and negatively. For many banks, the return is unfortunately more important than sustainable management.

We have been following the work of GLS Bank for a long time, which for 45 years has placed a clear focus on social and ecological investments and demands and fulfills strict sustainability criteria, see also https://www.gls.de/privatkunden/gls-bank/gls-nachhaltigkeit/.

We have decided to also conduct our banking business through GLS Bank in the future and thus make a contribution to sustainable business. We would be delighted if you also deal with GLS Bank and become a customer there.

Donations to non-profit organizations

As you probably know, we reward every recommendation to a new customer with a premium worth 35.00 €.

In addition to shopping vouchers, we are now also offering you the option of donating your bonus to a non-profit organization. With this you can not only enable a friend to benefit from our advice, but also do something good at the same time.

Online consultation

We have been relying on advising our customers via telephone, email and video not only since the contact restrictions imposed by Corona. In particular, we will continue to expand online advice in the future in order to reduce our gasoline consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

Online advice also has many advantages for you as our customers. In addition to making appointments faster, we can take more time for your large and small issues and advise you regardless of time and place.

Paperless office

We at TBO have been striving for a paperless office for several years. We have initiated numerous steps, from fully digital customer management to digital signatures for most documents. We also sought dialogue with the insurance companies and convinced many of them to accept digitally signed documents and to switch from post to e-mail or other paperless channels when sending documents.

In this way we have managed to only have to process a very small number of paper documents. As a result, our use of resources in this area has dropped to almost zero. In the background we are constantly fighting to convince even the last product providers of the advantages of paperless communication.

Policies as PDF files

More and more insurers are offering you to receive insurance policies and other correspondence in PDF format, thereby saving paper. In addition to the positive effect on the environment through savings in resources and transport routes, you as a customer also benefit from faster communication, e.g. in the event of damage. In addition, some insurers reward you with a paperless discount of up to 10% on your insurance premium.

We are happy to support these endeavors and, when concluding contracts, point out the possibility of PDF policies, provided that the specific insurer already offers them.

In the future, too, we will continue to work on becoming even more sustainable at TBO. We are happy to receive suggestions from you at any time: https://www.tbo-versicherungsmakler.de/en/contactform
